Abstract

|
There is a considerable interest in the prediction and evaluation of the effects of a recent policy intervention intented to change the patient flow across different types of medical care institutions. A Markov Chain model is developed for this purpose. This model can be an useful tool for the analysis of the effects of its change on medical care expenses and volume of services in total as well as by the type of insttution.
